We arrived in Chile after a long layover in Atlanta. Luckily we were able to fly out of Moline, IL. We were the last plane that the airport was allowing to leave because of the huge amounts of snow out East. There was a major back-up of flights leaving Atlanta, so they were not allowing any new flights to fly in.
After 5 hours in the lounge, we were on our way to Santiago. We arrived about 7:50 am today. When we left Moline it looked like a frozen tundra. Flying into Santiago it was all lush green with mountains hovering in the background. It was hot and muggy when we debarked the plane. Aghhhhh. Our hotel is located right downtown amidst the incredible modern architecture of the city. There are many high rises and condominium projects around our hotel. We have spent the day poolside on the 15th floor overlooking the city.
More to come :)
Love the photos! Lucky! Have a great trip.
